Cushion Every Step: Ball of Foot Relief Kit

Who it's for

For anyone with a sore, burning or tender ball of foot, especially if you stand all day or wear heels or thin-soled shoes. Mix and match the pads and cushions to suit each pair of shoes.

What's in the box

  • Footbionics metatarsal pads (5 pairs) sit behind the ball of the foot to help spread pressure
  • GelSmart thin gel forefoot cushion slips over the forefoot for cushioning that fits slim shoes
  • GelSmart self-adhesive gel ball of foot pads stick into dress shoes and heels (pair)
  • GelSmart U-shaped gel callus pads help take pressure off a callus or tender spot (pair)

How to use

  • Metatarsal pads: Stick the pad onto your insole just behind the ball of the foot, not under it. Start with short wear and build up.
  • Forefoot cushion: Slide the cushion over the toes so the gel sits under the ball of the foot.
  • Ball of foot pads: Peel and stick inside the shoe under the ball of the foot.
  • U-shaped callus pads: Place the pad so the opening surrounds the callus or tender spot.

Questions before you buy

Which sizes should I choose?

Choose the metatarsal pads in Small or Large and the forefoot cushion in S/M or L/XL. The other pads are one size.

How long until it feels comfortable?

Gel cushions usually feel comfortable straight away. Metatarsal pads can feel odd at first; position them behind the ball of the foot and build up wear over a few days.

Not sure which size to pick?

Each option above shows the size range for that item, and each item's own page (linked under What's in the kit) has more sizing detail. If you're between sizes or unsure, contact us before you order and we'll help you choose.

When will my order arrive and what does shipping cost?

We send every order with Australia Post. Orders are usually dispatched within 1–3 business days, and you'll get a tracking link by email. Metro deliveries usually arrive within a few business days of dispatch; regional and remote areas can take longer. Shipping is $9.95, or free on orders of $59 or more. See our Shipping Policy.

Can I return it if it doesn't suit me?

Yes. Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 30 days of delivery for items that are unused, unworn and in their original packaging. Please contact us first; return postage for change of mind is paid by you. For hygiene reasons, gel and silicone items that have been opened or worn, orthotics that have been worn or trimmed, and opened creams or lotions can't be returned for change of mind. Faulty items are covered under the Australian Consumer Law. Refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days of approval. See our Refund Policy.

Can I buy the items separately?

Yes, each item is linked under What's in the kit. Buying them together in the kit costs less than buying them one by one at our current prices.
